Project Description

September 06, 2011

Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine

On Sunday, July 17th nearly 100 families gathered at the Denver Zoo to celebrate the successful advancements in reproductive medicine.  Not even the 100 degree heat could damper the festivities.  The event was fun for the entire family!

Families enjoyed a friendly cookout while mingling with each other and of course the CCM Doctors!  All the CCRM Doctors were on hand to chat and take photos with the families whose lives they have so dramatically impacted.

A face painter was on site and many of the boys opted for a Colorado Rockies logo on their arm, while the girls seemed to prefer a dolphin.  It was common to see children riding around the tables on one of the many NFFR Zebra “hobby horses.”

Chad Straka, a local caricature artist, had a long line of families waiting patiently for one of his beautiful caricature portraits.  Chad even stayed after the event ended to make sure that every child in line received a portrait.

Lisa Nash gave a short presentation to stress the importance of fertility research.  Lisa’s husband, Jack Nash, has been on the NFFR Board of Directors since its creation in 2008.

The 2011 Baby Reunion raised $21,500 for NFFR research!  These funds will go to work right away in the NFFR lab.  Thank you to all who attended for making this event so amazing.

See you next year!!!
